The ACCUPRO 12179330 is a double-end corner rounding end mill designed to produce precise radius profiles on workpiece edges. Built from solid carbide, it delivers the hardness and thermal resistance required for production machining on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 0.14-inch corner radius and 0.095-inch tip diameter generate a consistent, smooth radius without secondary finishing operations. A titanium nitride (TiN) coating reduces friction and extends cutting life. With a 3/8-inch mill diameter and matching 3/8-inch shank, this tool seats securely in standard end mill holders. Two right-hand flutes with right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with conventional CNC milling setups. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users of this type of cutter.
This corner rounding end mill is suited for mold making, fixture fabrication, and general precision machining where edge-break radius control is critical. The double-end configuration allows the tool to be flipped when one end wears, effectively extending usable tool life before replacement. It is appropriate for use in vertical machining centers and manual knee mills equipped with R8 or CAT/BT tooling systems that accept 3/8-inch shank tooling. Applications include profiling aluminum, steel, stainless, and tool steel components where a 0.14-inch radius is specified on engineering drawings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement corner rounding end mill for use in any machine tool setup accepting a 3/8-inch shank end mill with right-hand cutting direction.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Secure the shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-specified engagement depth before tightening. Inspect the collet bore and shank for chips or contamination prior to seating. Always confirm spindle is fully stopped and machine is in an E-stop or lockout-tagout state before changing tooling.
