The ACCUPRO 12179056 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. It features a 7/32 inch (0.2187 inch) cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in tight geometries. The 4-flute configuration with a 40-degree spiral helix and nACRo finish supports efficient chip evacuation and extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention required in high-speed, production-floor conditions. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers on vertical and horizontal milling machines.
This end mill is appropriate for use in general-purpose CNC and manual milling applications including die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and precision part production. The centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral cuts. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation follow standard spindle rotation conventions on most vertical machining centers. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and end mill holders commonly found in shop environments handling smaller-diameter tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fitment solid carbide square end mill for CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter with standard collet or end mill holder systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the power is locked out before changing or seating any end mill. Verify collet size and holder condition before clamping to maintain concentricity within acceptable runout limits. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and cutting diameter.
