The ACCUPRO 12179043 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide stock, it measures 0.125 inches in diameter with a 1-inch length of cut and a 3-inch overall length. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes at higher feed rates. The nACRo coating provides wear resistance and thermal protection, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. This is a centercutting tool, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight tolerances and fine finishes are required. The 0.125-inch shank diameter matches standard collet sizes found on CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and high-speed spindle setups. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cut orientation are standard for conventional and climb milling operations. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in job shops, production floors, and tool rooms will find this a reliable general-purpose end mill for small-feature work.
Designed as a standard 1/8-inch shank square end mill compatible with collet chucks and tool holders sized for 0.125-inch shank tooling on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the toolholder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on a small-diameter carbide tool.
