The ACCUPRO 12178956 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 1/64 inch (0.0156 inch) cutting diameter and a 1/32 inch length of cut, this tool is built for micro-machining work where accuracy and edge integrity are critical. The micrograin carbide substrate supports the TiCN coating, delivering improved wear resistance and surface finish on a wide range of workpiece materials. A 30-degree helix angle with spiral fluting promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding versatility in milling routines. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals, this end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual milling operations requiring fine detail work.
This end mill is designed for applications involving fine-feature milling, engraving, and slot cutting where a very small cutting diameter is required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter allows it to seat in standard collets and tool holders commonly found in CNC machining centers, engraving machines, and precision milling setups. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration make it compatible with standard spindle rotation. The regular-length profile and 1-1/2 inch overall length keep deflection minimal at this diameter, supporting repeatable cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-application solid carbide square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and precision milling setups requiring a 1/8 inch shank and 1/64 inch cutting diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque to the machine manufacturer's specification before operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator before engaging the workpiece, as runout is especially critical at sub-1/8 inch diameters. Inspect the cutting edge under magnification before each use — carbide end mills at this diameter are brittle and should not be used if any chipping is visible.
