The ACCUPRO 12178907 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.1250 inch mill diameter, a 0.2500 inch length of cut, and a 1.5000 inch overall length, this stub-length tool is built for tight-clearance work where rigidity and accuracy matter. The three-flute geometry with a 40-degree helix angle and spiral flute configuration promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining surface finish quality. The nACRo coating provides enhanced wear resistance and heat reduction at the cutting edge. This end mill is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into the workpiece without pre-drilling.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, and profiles in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a small-diameter, high-performance tool is required. The stub length type improves rigidity over longer-reach alternatives, making it a practical choice for CNC machining centers handling detailed or shallow-depth features. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation match standard spindle rotation on the majority of CNC and manual milling setups. Machinists and tooling technicians working in job shops, production facilities, and maintenance machining environments are the primary users of this tool.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.1250 inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation of this end mill should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder that matches the 0.1250 inch shank diameter and torque the retention mechanism per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning any cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
