The ACCUPRO 12178681 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at part corners and extends tool life in demanding cuts. With 5 flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, this end mill delivers improved chip evacuation and surface finish at higher feed rates. The AlTiN coating provides high-temperature oxidation resistance, making it well suited for dry or minimal-lubrication machining of steel, stainless, and cast iron. It is a centercutting design, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Machinists and CNC programmers in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is sized for medium to heavy material removal on vertical machining centers and CNC mills.
