The ACCUPRO 12177527 is a solid carbide tapered end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring angled wall profiles. It features a 5-degree taper per side with a small end diameter of 3/16 inches and a 3/4-inch length of cut. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction delivers hardness and wear resistance suited to demanding workpiece materials. The uncoated finish makes it easy to inspect for wear. This tool is installed and used by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC programmers in shop environments.
This tapered end mill is suited for creating draft angles, mold cavities, dovetail-adjacent profiles, and angled pocket walls in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The square end geometry allows full-depth flat-bottom cuts at the small end. With a 5/16-inch shank diameter and 2-1/2-inch overall length, it fits standard ER and straight-bore collet chucks commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry when the toolpath requires it.

Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut per the holder manufacturer's specification before spindle engagement. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts to avoid premature tool wear or dimensional error.
