The ACCUPRO 12177393 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. It carries a 1 inch mill diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the bottom of pocketing and profiling passes. The 7-flute geometry increases chip load capacity and improves surface finish at higher feed rates. An nACRo coating provides oxidation resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. This tool is a single-end, centercutting design with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction, making it suitable for standard CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
This end mill is used in precision machining environments where corner radii on pockets, slots, or contours must be held to tight tolerances. The variable index flute spacing helps suppress chatter during aggressive cuts in alloy steels, stainless steels, and hardened materials where micrograin carbide substrate and nACRo coating perform well. A 4 inch overall length and 1 inch shank diameter allow secure toolholder engagement with minimal overhang in most standard setups. It is sized for production work in job shops, tool rooms, and manufacturing cells running medium-to-large-diameter roughing and finishing operations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-procurement solid carbide corner radius end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1 inch straight shank toolholder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician familiar with end mill toolholding practices. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated in a clean, undamaged collet or end mill holder and torque the retention fastener per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius under magnification before use to confirm no shipping damage is present.
