The ACCUPRO 12177374 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals in demanding machining environments. With a 6 mm cutting diameter, a 1 mm corner radius, and a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers smooth chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides high-temperature resistance and extended tool life in dry and semi-dry cutting conditions. It is a single-end, centercutting design, allowing plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling. Machinists and toolroom professionals working with CNC machining centers and manual mills rely on this geometry for finishing passes requiring radiused corners and tight tolerances.
This end mill is suited for production and toolroom work involving steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar hard materials where an AlTiN coating provides thermal protection. The 30-degree helix angle and 2-flute configuration make it appropriate for slotting, profiling, and finishing operations where chip clearance is critical. The extended reach design, with a 30 mm reach length, provides access to deeper pockets and recessed features without sacrificing rigidity. It is sized for use in standard 6 mm collets and ER-style toolholders common in CNC and manual machining setups.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in 6 mm ER collet chucks and compatible CNC or manual milling toolholders requiring a 6 mm shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom professional. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked before loading or removing the tool from the collet or toolholder. Use a calibrated torque wrench when tightening collet nuts to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping before beginning a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and degrade corner radius accuracy.
