The ACCUPRO 12177346 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it handles elevated cutting temperatures and abrasive workpiece materials. The tool features a 2 mm mill diameter, a 0.20 mm corner radius, and a 2-flute right-hand spiral configuration. It is single-end and centercutting, enabling plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. The 30-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and fine finishing are required.
This end mill is intended for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless steel, titanium, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. The AlTiN coating extends tool life in dry and high-speed machining conditions. The extended reach design, with a 7.00 mm reach length and 6.00 mm shank diameter, allows access to features with deeper wall clearance requirements. Typical applications include die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and medical device manufacturing where corner radius control and surface finish are critical.
Designed as a standard shank end mill compatible with ER collet systems, shrink-fit holders, and other tool holders accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter in CNC machining centers and milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tool-holding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and at rest before inserting or removing the end mill from the collet or tool holder. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating; excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces corner radius accuracy. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended depth-of-cut or feed-rate parameters for the given workpiece material and coating type.
