The ACCUPRO 12177343 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It carries a 1.5 mm cutting diameter with a 0.15 mm corner radius and a 1.5 mm length of cut, making it well-suited for tight-tolerance finish work in confined areas. The micrograin carbide substrate delivers hardness and wear resistance in demanding cutting environments. With a 30-degree helix angle and right-hand spiral flute geometry, the tool promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be plunged directly into the workpiece. Machinists and tooling technicians working in prototype shops, die and mold operations, and precision job shops are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for applications requiring fine detail work at small scales, such as slotting, profiling, and ramping in hardened steels, stainless alloys, aluminum, and plastics. The extended reach configuration, with a 15 mm reach length and 6 mm shank diameter, allows access into deeper pockets and stepped features without interference. The bright, uncoated finish makes it a general-purpose choice where coating is not required or where re-grinding is planned. It performs reliably in both CNC machining centers and manual milling setups where small-diameter tooling is specified.
Designed as a standard shank corner radius end mill compatible with collet systems and toolholders accepting a 6 mm shank diameter. Suitable for CNC machining centers and manual mills configured for small-diameter carbide tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing or setting tooling. Seat the 6 mm shank fully and securely in a clean, properly sized collet or toolholder to achieve accurate runout within the stated diameter tolerance range. Verify tool projection and reach clearance before beginning a cut to prevent tool deflection or breakage at this small diameter.
