The ACCUPRO 12177311 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composite, and engineered material applications. Built from micrograin carbide, this single-end tool features a 0.1969-inch (5 mm) cutting diameter with a matching 0.1969-inch (5 mm) length of cut. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. With a 6 mm shank and an overall length of 57 mm, it fits standard collet and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Extended reach geometry and a reduced neck diameter of 4.80 mm allow access to tighter features without sacrificing rigidity. This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
This ball end mill is suited for profiling, contouring, slotting, and finishing passes in both roughing and finishing contexts where a small-diameter ball nose profile is required. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction makes it appropriate for a range of ferrous and non-ferrous workpiece materials. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC machining center spindle rotation. Extended reach of 15 mm allows work in pockets and features with depth requirements that exceed standard reach tooling.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 6 mm shank end mill holder or collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the recommended gauge length before torquing the retention mechanism. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation to confirm proper seating before beginning a cutting operation.
