The ACCUPRO 12177286 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of tight-tolerance features including slots, pockets, and contoured surfaces. With a 0.0394 inch (1.00 mm) mill diameter and matching 0.0394 inch (1.00 mm) length of cut, this tool is built for micro-milling applications that demand accuracy and rigidity. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. This is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool with a micrograin carbide substrate suited to high-speed CNC machining operations.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and high-precision milling machines where small-diameter tooling is required. It is well suited for die and mold work, aerospace component machining, and medical device manufacturing where fine detail and surface finish are critical. The extended reach design, with a 20.00 mm reach length and 0.95 mm neck diameter, allows access to deeper features without tool deflection. The 6.00 mm shank diameter provides stable clamping in standard collet systems. Machinists and tool-and-die makers working in job shops or production environments will find this tool appropriate for finishing passes in hardened steels and high-temperature alloys.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and milling machines equipped with collet systems accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the end mill from the collet. Verify proper collet size and torque the collet nut to the machine manufacturer's specification before operation. Inspect the tool shank and cutting edge for damage prior to each use, and discard any tool showing chipping or excessive wear.
