The ACCUPRO 12177224 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.1969-inch (5.00 mm) mill diameter and a 0.3937-inch (10.00 mm) length of cut, this is a small-diameter, long-reach tool built for tight-tolerance work. It features a 2-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 40-degree helix angle and is center-cutting, allowing direct plunging into workpiece material. The micrograin carbide construction provides edge stability and wear resistance. This end mill is sold individually and is intended for use by machinists and tooling professionals in CNC and manual milling applications.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and plunging in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a small-diameter, high-precision tool is required. The long-reach configuration, with a 60.00 mm reach length and 100.00 mm overall length, makes it well-suited for deep-cavity and restricted-access milling scenarios. The uncoated finish is appropriate for applications where coating compatibility with cutting fluid or workpiece material is a consideration. Typical install environments include production machine shops, tool and die operations, and precision component manufacturing.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 6.00 mm shank diameter with a shank diameter tolerance of minus 0.0001 to minus 0.0004 inches.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with end mill toolholding systems. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify collet or toolholder bore matches the 6.00 mm shank diameter and that runout is within acceptable limits before engaging a cut. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the mill diameter, as small-diameter carbide tools are susceptible to breakage under excessive lateral load.
