The ACCUPRO 12177210 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 0.2362-inch (6.00 mm) mill diameter, a 0.4724-inch (12.00 mm) length of cut, and 4 spiral flutes with a 40-degree helix angle. The AlTiN finish provides heat and oxidation resistance, making it well suited for dry or high-speed cutting applications. Built from micrograin carbide, this end mill delivers tight tolerances and edge retention under demanding feed rates. It is a single-end, centercutting tool with right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation, and includes extended reach geometry for deeper cavity access.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 40-degree helix and AlTiN coating make it a common choice for hardened steels, stainless alloys, and titanium-based workpieces. The 0.2362-inch diameter places it in the small-diameter range, typically selected for fine-feature work, tight radii, and detailed contour passes. The overall length is 100.00 mm with a reach length of 62.00 mm, and the shank diameter matches the cutting diameter at 6.00 mm for straightforward collet or end mill holder mounting.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill suitable for use in standard CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting 6.00 mm shank toolholders or collets. Length of cut range is 0.3000 to 0.5000 inches per application requirements.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The shank should be seated fully and evenly in a precision collet or end mill holder before torquing to the toolholder manufacturer's specifications. Verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before initiating a cut. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use, particularly when running hardened materials.
