The ACCUPRO 12177154 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. Built from micrograin carbide, this two-flute tool runs at a 40-degree helix angle with a right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration. It measures 0.1875 inches in diameter with a 0.375-inch length of cut and a 3-inch overall length. The extended-reach geometry, with a 2-inch reach length, allows access to deep features and pockets where standard-length tools cannot clear. It is uncoated and centercutting, making it suitable for both plunge and slot milling without a pre-drilled entry hole.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills used in job shops, maintenance facilities, toolrooms, and production environments. The long-reach configuration makes it well-suited for milling deep slots, stepped pockets, and cavity work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The two-flute design promotes chip evacuation in softer materials and confined geometries. Machinists and CNC operators running general-purpose work will find this tool a reliable choice for detailed or deep-reach applications requiring tight dimensional control.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or production square end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 0.1875-inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, powered-down state before tool changes. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-specified pull-out resistance for the holder type in use. Verify runout with a dial indicator before commencing cuts to protect the tool and the workpiece. Always confirm feed rate, speed, and depth-of-cut parameters are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
