The ACCUPRO 12177080 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. It features a 9/32 inch (0.2813 inch) cutting diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 4-flute spiral geometry with a 40-degree helix angle. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction provides a sharp, consistent edge suitable for finishing passes and close-tolerance work. This is a centercutting, single-end tool with right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling technicians in job shop and production environments.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, knee mills, and CNC milling operations requiring tight dimensional control. The 5/16 inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found in light to mid-duty milling setups. The 40-degree helix promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces, making it well suited for slotting, profiling, and plunge cutting in a variety of workpiece materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct fitment for standard 5/16 inch collet chucks and end mill holders used in CNC and manual milling machines accepting solid carbide square end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the collet or holder per the machine manufacturer's specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator after installation.
