The ACCUPRO 12176935 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide stock, it carries a 5/64 inch (0.0781 inch) cutting diameter with a 1/4 inch length of cut and a 1/8 inch shank diameter. The nACRo coating provides heat and wear resistance suited for harder work materials. A 30-degree spiral flute geometry and right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction promote chip evacuation and stable tool engagement. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments install and run this tool.
The 12176935 is sized for fine-detail slot milling, profiling, and pocketing in small-feature work. The 1/2 inch reach length and 1-1/2 inch overall length keep the tool rigid in short-reach setups while the extended reach geometry accommodates slightly deeper clearance requirements. Four flutes provide a balance of chip room and surface finish quality at typical feed rates for solid carbide tooling. This tool is appropriate for use in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a coated micrograin carbide end mill is specified.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit solid carbide square end mill for standard 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder setups in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines requiring a 5/64 inch cutting diameter tool.
Installation is performed by machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Torque the collet or set screw to the tool holder specification provided by the holder manufacturer — do not over-tighten a collet against a carbide shank. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping before each use, as solid carbide is brittle and sensitive to improper handling or runout.
