The ACCUPRO 12176931 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/64 inch (0.0469 inch) cutting diameter, a 9/64 inch (0.1406 inch) length of cut, and a 1/8 inch shank diameter, making it suited for fine detail work and tight-tolerance slots, pockets, and profile cuts. The nACRo coating provides elevated hardness and heat resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. With four spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, the tool promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in precision machining environments.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual milling machines where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. Its centercutting capability allows plunge operations directly into the workpiece. The extended reach design, with a reach length of 0.423 inches, accommodates applications where clearance between the tool holder and workpiece is limited. It is well suited for mold work, die making, aerospace components, and other tight-tolerance machining tasks.
Designed as a standard 1/8 inch shank square end mill compatible with collet holders, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling systems accepting 1/8 inch shank tooling on CNC and manual milling machines.
This end mill is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in machine shop environments. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and machine power is off before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully within the collet or holder to the recommended gauge line, and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting speeds and feeds for small-diameter carbide tooling.
