The ACCUPRO 12176929 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. With a 0.0312 inch (1/32 inch) cutting diameter and a 3/32 inch length of cut, this tool handles fine detail work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide substrate and nACRo finish deliver wear resistance and heat reduction at the cutting edge. Four spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Extended reach geometry and centercutting capability allow plunge entry and reach into confined features. Installed by machinists and toolroom technicians on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is suited for small-feature milling, slotting, profiling, and contouring in applications where tight dimensional control is required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders commonly found on benchtop CNC routers and vertical machining centers. Extended reach of 0.28 inches allows access to recessed floors and stepped features without tool interference. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional and climb milling on most spindle setups.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement or production end mill for CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and CNC routers accepting a 1/8 inch collet or tool holder.
Installation and tool changes should be performed with the spindle fully stopped and machine power isolated per shop lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the collet and holder are clean and free of chips before seating the 1/8 inch shank to maintain runout within tolerance. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speed and feed parameters for the workpiece material and depth of cut. Proper tool projection and collet engagement length directly affect tool life and surface finish quality.
