The ACCUPRO 12176918 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. Built from micrograin carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it handles high-heat cutting environments where tool life and dimensional accuracy matter. The 0.015-inch corner radius reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and produces clean, radiused profiles in a single pass. With 4 right-hand spiral flutes and a centercutting geometry, this end mill supports both plunge and profile milling. Shank diameter is 0.125 inches. Installation is performed by machinists and tool-room technicians working with CNC milling machines and manual mills requiring small-diameter finishing tools.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, slotting, and profiling in tight tolerances on ferrous metals, stainless steel, titanium, and hardened workpiece materials. The AlTiN coating makes it appropriate for dry or near-dry high-speed cutting where heat generation is a factor. The 0.3125-inch length of cut and 1.5-inch overall length position it for short-reach operations in mold and die work, aerospace components, and precision machined parts requiring radiused interior corners.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for CNC and manual milling machine spindles accepting a 0.125-inch straight shank, standard in ER11, ER16, and similar collet chuck systems.
Installation should be performed by qualified machinists following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the spindle and collet chuck are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Confirm runout is within acceptable limits after clamping to protect the cutting edge and maintain dimensional tolerances. Always verify spindle speed and feed rate recommendations for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
