The ACCUPRO 12176917 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hard materials. It features a 0.0938-inch cutting diameter, a 0.01-inch corner radius, and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that improves heat resistance and tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. With four flutes and a right-hand spiral flute geometry, it produces consistent chip evacuation and surface finish. The 1/8-inch shank fits standard collets and toolholders common in CNC machining centers and manual mills. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this type of end mill for slotting, profiling, and corner-blending operations where a sharp inside radius is required.
This end mill is suited for precision machining applications in job shops, tool rooms, and production CNC environments. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it practical for pocketing operations without a pre-drilled entry point. The 9/32-inch (0.2500-inch) length of cut accommodates shallow-to-moderate depth passes, and the 1-1/2-inch overall length provides rigidity in tight setups. The 30-degree helix angle supports smooth cutting action in a variety of workpiece materials, including alloy steels, stainless, and hardened materials where AlTiN coatings perform well.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter collet or toolholder.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and power isolated per shop safety procedures. Ensure the collet and toolholder are clean and free of chips before seating the shank to maintain runout tolerances. A licensed machinist or trained CNC operator should verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters before engaging the cut. Follow applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements when operating milling equipment.
