The ACCUPRO 12176914 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and hard-material applications. It features a 0.0938-inch cutting diameter, a 0.01-inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The tool is coated with TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) for improved wear resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, this single-end, centercutting mill is suited for finish milling, slotting, and profiling passes where edge integrity and dimensional accuracy are critical. Licensed machinists and CNC operators are the typical end users.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where small-diameter, high-precision cuts are required. Its centercutting geometry allows for direct plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. The 1/8-inch shank diameter and 1-1/2-inch overall length make it compatible with standard ER collet chucks and small-bore tool holders commonly found in production and job-shop environments. The 0.375-inch length of cut supports shallow-to-moderate depth-of-cut passes in tight-tolerance work.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter via ER collet chucks or equivalent small-bore tool holders. Suitable for ferrous and non-ferrous metal milling applications requiring a corner radius end geometry.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Torque collet nuts to the tool holder manufacturer specification using the appropriate spanner wrench. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating the first cut, particularly given the close mill diameter tolerance of plus 0.0002 inch and minus 0.0008 inch.
