The ACCUPRO 12176905 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It has a 0.0781-inch cutting diameter, a 0.01-inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes that deliver smooth chip evacuation and consistent surface finishes. The tool is coated with TiCN (titanium carbonitride) for improved hardness and wear resistance at elevated cutting temperatures. With a 30-degree helix angle and centercutting capability, it handles plunge cuts as well as peripheral and slot milling. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments will find this end mill suited to close-tolerance finishing work on ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is built for milling operations that require a controlled corner radius to blend radii into part features, reduce stress concentrations, or match a specific drawing callout. The 0.25-inch (1/4-inch) length of cut accommodates shallow-to-moderate depth passes, while the 1/8-inch shank fits standard collet systems found on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Its micrograin carbide substrate and TiCN coating make it a practical choice for steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardened materials where tool life and dimensional consistency matter.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use corner radius end mill compatible with standard 1/8-inch collet toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet is de-energized before inserting or removing the end mill. Use a torque-rated collet nut wrench appropriate for the collet system to secure the shank — do not overtighten or use makeshift tools. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
