The ACCUPRO 12176891 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, this tool handles high-temperature cutting environments with consistent edge integrity. The 0.0469 inch cutting diameter is paired with a 0.015 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in side milling and profiling passes. With 4 flutes and a right-hand spiral flute direction, the tool balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. It is single-end and centercutting, allowing plunge entry. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, mold and die work, and precision component manufacturing are the primary users.
This end mill suits finish milling, slotting, and contour work in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys where the AlTiN coating provides oxidation resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures. The 0.0469 inch diameter is well suited for fine-feature work, narrow slots, and detailed profile passes where tight tolerances are required. With a 1/8 inch shank diameter and 1-1/2 inch overall length, it fits standard collet chucks and ER-style tool holders found on VMCs and CNC mills running light to medium material removal operations.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for 1/8 inch ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and compatible tool holders on CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills requiring a 0.0469 inch diameter corner radius end mill.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8 inch shank fully into the collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as micrograin carbide tools at this diameter are sensitive to excessive runout and lateral load.
