The ACCUPRO 12176851 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and hard materials. With a 3/8 inch diameter and a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers clean, flat-bottomed cuts in a wide range of machining applications. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the edge retention and rigidity needed for demanding cuts. Classified as an extra-long configuration at 3-1/2 inches overall length, it reaches into pockets and features where standard-length tools fall short. The bright, uncoated finish suits general-purpose use across a variety of base materials.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, vertical mills, and manual knee mills in job shop, production, and toolroom environments. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle rotation on most machines. The extra-long overall length is particularly useful for deep-pocket profiling, slotting, and contouring where extended reach is required without sacrificing rigidity. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals working with aluminum, steel, stainless, and non-ferrous materials will find this tool applicable to a broad set of operations.
Designed as a standard 3/8 inch shank end mill compatible with any ER, TG, side-lock, or collet-style toolholder accepting a 3/8 inch shank diameter on CNC or manual milling equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following shop-standard tool-setting procedures. Ensure the toolholder and spindle are free of debris and runout is verified before cutting. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder to maximize rigidity and minimize vibration. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material before engaging the cut.
