The ACCUPRO 12176833 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 1-3/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.045 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at part edges and extends tool life in profiling and slotting operations. The 2-flute geometry with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the TiCN coating adds surface hardness and wear resistance. With a 4 inch overall length and 1 inch shank diameter, this end mill is sized for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills handling ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes on molds, dies, and precision machined components where a radiused corner profile is required. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with standard spindle setups. Machinists working in job shops, tool-and-die environments, and production facilities will find this tool appropriate for medium-to-heavy milling in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1 inch straight shank end mill in ER, Weldon, or hydraulic-style toolholders.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked or e-stop state. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the toolholder to the holder manufacturer's specification before running. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and reduce surface finish quality. Follow shop safety protocols and applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements during setup and operation.
