The ACCUPRO 12176787 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut (LOC), and a 0.06 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding applications. With 3 flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, this end mill provides an efficient balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The bright/uncoated finish makes it well suited for general-purpose ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This tool is installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is applicable to milling operations requiring a radiused corner profile, including slot milling, peripheral milling, and finishing passes on stepped or contoured workpieces. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, adding versatility to the tool. The 1/2 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional spindle setups. Its regular-length configuration suits the majority of general milling applications in both production and prototype environments.
Designed as a general-purpose replacement or production corner radius end mill for use in standard 1/2 inch end mill holders and collet chucks on vertical machining centers and CNC milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. The tool shank must be fully seated and properly torqued in the tool holder per the holder manufacturer specifications before spindle operation. Inspect the collet or end mill holder for wear or contamination before each setup. Never exceed the tool manufacturer recommended cutting parameters for feed rate, depth of cut, or spindle speed for the given workpiece material.
