The ACCUPRO 12176771 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and hard material applications. With a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 1-3/4 inch length of cut (LOC), and a 0.06 inch corner radius, this tool produces smooth, radiused edges while maintaining tight tolerances. The 3-flute, right-hand cutting geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and reduce chatter during aggressive cuts. At 4 inches overall length (OAL) with a 1 inch shank diameter, it mounts securely in standard end mill holders. The bright, uncoated finish suits a range of general-purpose machining tasks. Centercutting capability allows both plunge and peripheral cutting operations.
This end mill is suited for job shop and production machining environments where radiused corners are required on pockets, slots, and contoured surfaces. It performs well in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills running ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The coarse pitch spacing reduces cutting forces and helps maintain tool life in interrupted cuts and slotting applications. Machinists, toolmakers, and CNC programmers will find it a reliable choice for general-purpose milling where a corner break or blend radius is specified on the workpiece.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill compatible with standard 1 inch end mill holders and collet chucks used in CNC machining centers and conventional milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque the retention fastener to the machine tool manufacturer's specification. Inspect the collet or end mill holder for wear or runout before securing the tool, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and reduce surface finish quality.
