The ACCUPRO 12176684 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 0.3438-inch mill diameter, a 0.02-inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a 35-degree helix angle. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides elevated heat resistance and extended tool life in high-speed and dry-cutting applications. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece. The micrograin carbide substrate supports tight tolerances and consistent edge geometry across the full length of cut. Machinists and toolmakers running CNC mills, VMCs, or manual knee mills will find this a reliable choice for profiling, slotting, and contouring cuts that require a radiused corner.
This end mill is suited for use in machine shops, production environments, and tool rooms handling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, hardened alloys, and similar materials where an AlTiN coating delivers performance advantages. The 0.5-inch length of cut and 2-inch overall length make it well suited for shallow-to-medium-depth profiling passes. The 3/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling commonly found in CNC machining centers. Right-hand cutting direction is compatible with standard CNC spindle rotation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill compatible with standard 3/8-inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and shrink-fit tooling systems used in CNC vertical machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing tooling. Ensure the shank is fully seated to the recommended engagement depth in the holder and that the collet or set screw is torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius for chips or wear before each use; carbide tooling is brittle and should not be dropped or mishandled.
