The ACCUPRO 12176656 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials in demanding machining environments. Measuring 0.3438 inches in diameter with a 1 inch length of cut and a 0.02 inch corner radius, this tool is built for applications where edge integrity and surface finish are critical. The AlTiN coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life, making it well suited for dry cutting and high-speed machining of hardened steels and alloys. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments will find this end mill a reliable choice for finishing and semi-finishing passes.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a radiused corner is required to reduce stress concentration at part features. The 3-flute design balances chip evacuation with rigidity, making it appropriate for both steel and stainless steel applications. With a 35-degree helix angle and right-hand cutting direction, it is suitable for climb and conventional milling on a wide range of workpiece materials. A 3/8 inch shank diameter fits standard ER and side-lock tool holders commonly found in production shops.
Designed for use in standard 3/8 inch end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and side-lock tool holders on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers requiring a single-end corner radius end mill.
This end mill is installed by machinists and CNC operators; secure the 3/8 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque to the tool holder manufacturer specification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing or inspecting the tool. Verify runout at the holder before beginning a cut to preserve tolerance and edge life. Follow shop-specific speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
