The ACCUPRO 12176625 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it handles high-temperature cutting environments where tool life and dimensional accuracy are critical. The 0.025-inch corner radius reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge, helping maintain edge integrity in aggressive cuts. With a 40-degree helix angle and three right-hand spiral flutes, this end mill delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. It is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into the workpiece. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this geometry for contouring, profiling, and slot milling in hardened and abrasive materials.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills operating on ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless alloys, and cast iron. The AlTiN coating extends tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions and performs well at elevated spindle speeds. The 9/16-inch shank diameter provides rigid tool holding in standard ER and side-lock collet systems. Typical applications include mold and die work, aerospace component machining, and precision part contouring where a controlled corner radius is required to meet print tolerances.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 9/16-inch collet or side-lock tool holders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the manufacturer-recommended engagement depth and torque the retention nut according to the tool holder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling.
