The ACCUPRO 12176616 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide, this single-end tool features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/8 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length with a 1 inch straight shank. The 40-degree helix angle and three spiral flutes promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. It is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into workpiece material. Machinists and CNC operators install this tool in vertical mills, machining centers, and manual knee mills for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling applications.
This end mill is suited for stub-length milling applications where rigidity and reduced deflection are priorities. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional CNC and manual milling setups. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction makes it appropriate for use in aluminum, brass, plastics, and certain ferrous materials depending on cutting parameters. It is sold as a single unit and is intended for professional machining environments where tight tolerances and consistent tool geometry are required.
Designed as a direct-fit stub-length square end mill for use in standard 1 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1 inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the toolholder bore and shank are clean and free of chips or debris before seating the end mill. Torque retention screws or collet nuts to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning a cut.
