The ABSORBENT SPECIALTY PRODUCTS LLC QD65-2 is a ready-to-use flood barrier designed to block water intrusion at doorways, garages, bulkheads, and active construction sites. Each barrier measures 6 inches wide by 5 feet long and is filled with super-absorbent powder distributed evenly throughout its length, allowing it to activate on contact with water without requiring sand, sandbags, or additional labor. This 2-pack configuration is suited for residential and light commercial applications where fast deployment and reusability matter. UV-resistant construction allows barriers to remain in place for long-term protection lasting up to 8 months per use.
The QD65-2 flood barrier is used across a range of water management scenarios including doorway protection during storm events, perimeter containment at construction sites, and access-point sealing in garages and below-grade entryways. The compact form factor makes it practical for storage and rapid deployment when conditions require it. Plumbers, general contractors, restoration crews, and facilities maintenance professionals keep these barriers on hand for reactive and preventive flood control. The barriers are environmentally friendly and non-toxic, and can be disposed of in standard trash receptacles when they have reached the end of their service life.
Designed as a general-purpose flood barrier for residential and light commercial applications including doorways, garage thresholds, bulkhead openings, and active construction project perimeters.
No specialized tools or trade licensing is required for deployment. Place the barrier flat against the threshold or opening to be protected and allow water contact to activate the absorbent fill. Barriers can be left in position for extended periods when long-term protection is needed. When service life is exhausted, dispose of the unit in standard solid waste.
