The ABB THT104 is a solid snap-on handle tie designed for use with single-pole circuit breakers. The handle tie physically links two adjacent breaker handles so both can be switched on or off together manually. It installs without tools by snapping directly onto compatible breaker handles. The THT104 does not provide internal common trip functionality — that is an inherent feature of true multi-pole breakers. This device is strictly a manual on-off coupling mechanism between two single-pole devices, making it a practical solution for simultaneous switching in panel applications.
The THT104 is used in residential and light commercial electrical panels where two single-pole breakers need to be ganged for manual simultaneous operation. Typical applications include 240-volt circuits built from two single-pole breakers and branch circuits requiring a common manual disconnect. Compatible breaker families for this handle tie include TQB, TQC, and TQL single-pole breakers. Electricians install this tie during new panel construction or as a retrofit on existing breaker installations.
Designed for use with TQB, TQC, and TQL single-pole circuit breakers. Provides manual handle ganging for 2-pole configurations using these single-pole devices.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize the panel and turn off the main breaker before working inside the enclosure. The handle tie snaps onto the breaker handles without fasteners — confirm full seating before restoring power. Note that this tie provides manual on-off coupling only and does not create an internal common trip between the two breakers.
