The ABB THQL32080 is a 3-pole, thermal-magnetic circuit breaker rated at 80 amps, 240 volts, and 10,000 amps interrupting capacity (10kAIC). Part of the Q Line series, it is designed for installation in load centers and lighting panels serving residential and commercial electrical systems. The THQL32080 is one inch wide per pole, making it a compact fit in standard Q Line enclosures. Built-in Quick-make and Quick-break mechanisms provide consistent overcurrent response, and a trip indicator flag gives installers and technicians an immediate visual confirmation of a tripped breaker. Licensed electricians install this breaker as part of branch-circuit or feeder protection.
The THQL32080 is suited for residential service panels and commercial lighting panels where a 3-pole, 80-amp branch circuit or feeder disconnect is required. Its thermal-magnetic trip mechanism responds to both sustained overloads and short-circuit faults. The Q Line design supports optional accessories including auxiliary contacts and shunt trip attachments, extending its usefulness in monitored or remotely tripped panel configurations. It can also be ordered for HID lighting applications where inrush current characteristics demand reliable thermal-magnetic protection.
Designed for use in ABB Q Line load centers and lighting panels. The THQL32080 accepts Q Line auxiliary contact and shunt trip accessories and is available for HID lighting panel applications.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the panel and verify absence of voltage with a calibrated meter before handling any breaker or bus connections. Confirm the panelboard is rated for Q Line breakers before installation. Do not exceed the breaker ampere or voltage ratings for the intended circuit.
