The ABB thql32050 is a three-pole, thermal-magnetic circuit breaker rated for 50 amps and 240 volts with a 10 kAIC interrupting capacity. It belongs to ABBs Q-Line plug-in product family, which uses a compact one-inch-per-pole form factor suited for residential and commercial load centers and lighting panels. The breaker uses a non-interchangeable, fixed thermal-magnetic trip mechanism with Quick-make and Quick-break action. Trip indication is visible at a glance for faster diagnostics. The unit carries an HACR special marking, making it suitable for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration circuit protection applications. Licensed electricians are the primary installers of this device.
The thql32050 is designed for use in residential and commercial load centers and lighting panels operating at system voltages of 120 volts AC, 120/240 volts AC, or 240 volts AC. Its three-pole configuration supports 240-volt branch circuits such as HVAC equipment, water heaters, subpanels, and similar loads. The breaker is suitable for reverse feed configurations, expanding its utility in certain panel layouts. Q-Line breakers can be ordered with auxiliary contact and shunt trip accessories, and are available for HID lighting applications.
Designed for use in Q-Line plug-in load centers and lighting panels accepting one-inch-per-pole circuit breakers in residential and commercial installations.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the panel before removing or installing any circuit breaker. Verify that the load center is rated for Q-Line plug-in breakers before installation. Do not exceed the ampere or voltage ratings marked on the breaker.
