The ABB thql2150gft2 is a 2-pole GFCI molded case circuit breaker rated for 50 amps at 120/240 volts AC. It provides ground fault circuit interrupter protection combined with standard overcurrent protection in a single device. Part of the THQL series, this breaker is designed for residential and light commercial load center applications. It ships with a long pigtail lead for the neutral connection required by GFCI-type breakers. Licensed electricians install this device in compatible panelboards when code-required ground fault protection is needed on 2-pole branch circuits.
This breaker is suited for 120/240-volt branch circuits requiring GFCI protection, such as those serving hot tubs, spas, swimming pool equipment, or other outdoor and wet-location loads where the National Electrical Code mandates ground fault protection. The THQL series fits a wide range of residential load centers that accept GE THQL-style breakers. The long pigtail neutral connection routes to the panelboard neutral bar, completing the GFCI circuit monitoring path.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement THQL-series GFCI circuit breaker for residential and light commercial load centers that accept GE THQL-style 2-pole breakers.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code and applicable local codes. De-energize the panel at the utility disconnect or main breaker and verify the absence of voltage before handling any breaker or bus connection. The pigtail neutral wire must be connected to the panelboard neutral bar, not the ground bar. Follow the load center manufacturer instructions for proper breaker seating and torque requirements listed on the panelboard label.
