The ABB thql1130pgft is a Type THQL, single-pole, plug-in molded case circuit breaker rated for 30 amps at 120/240 volts AC. Part of the ABB Q-Line Plug-In series, it incorporates a 5 mA ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) with a self-test feature, providing both overcurrent and ground fault protection in a single device. The interrupt rating is 10 kAIC. Box-type terminals accept wire sizes from 14 to 8 AWG copper or 12 to 8 AWG aluminum. Quick-make, quick-break operation and a plug-on neutral connection make this breaker well-suited for residential load center installations. It is UL Listed under Molded Case Circuit Breakers No. 489 and qualifies under Federal Government Specification WC-375B.
This breaker is designed for use in residential electrical panels that support the plug-on neutral configuration, eliminating the need for a separate neutral pigtail. The GFCI function with self-test capability satisfies NEC requirements for ground fault protection in bathrooms, kitchens, garages, outdoor circuits, and other locations where GFCI protection is mandated. The single-pole, 30-amp rating covers branch circuits such as electric dryers or dedicated appliance circuits that fall within the wire-size and ampacity range of this device. Installation is performed by licensed electricians working within applicable NEC guidelines.
Designed for use in residential load centers that accept the ABB Q-Line Plug-In (Type THQL) breaker series with plug-on neutral bus compatibility. Verify that the target panel accepts plug-on neutral THQL breakers before installation.
Installation must be performed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. Always de-energize the main panel and verify absence of voltage with a meter before handling any breakers or wiring. Confirm that the load center bus and neutral bar support the plug-on neutral design before installing this breaker. Conductor sizing must comply with NEC ampacity tables for the connected load and wire material.
