The ABB thql1115ax is a 15-amp, 1-pole Combination AFCI (Arc-Fault Circuit Interrupter) circuit breaker rated for 120/240 volts. It features a pigtail neutral connection and carries a 10kA interrupt rating. The Class A trip sensitivity is set at 5 milliamps, meeting NEC requirements for arc-fault protection in residential branch circuits. Licensed electricians install this breaker in load centers and panelboards where AFCI protection is required by code. UL listing confirms it has been independently tested and verified against applicable safety standards.
This breaker is suited for residential and light commercial applications where the National Electrical Code mandates AFCI protection — including bedrooms, living areas, kitchens, hallways, and other living spaces. The combination-type AFCI design addresses both parallel and series arc faults on the protected circuit. The pigtail neutral configuration allows installation in load centers that require a separate neutral conductor connection at the breaker itself rather than at the neutral bus.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for residential and light commercial panelboards accepting Q-Line style AFCI breakers with pigtail neutral termination.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the panel and verify the absence of voltage before beginning any work inside the load center. Confirm the target panelboard accepts Q-Line pigtail neutral breakers before installation. The neutral pigtail must be landed on the panel neutral bar as required by the breaker and panelboard instructions.
