The ABB THHQL2115 is a 2-pole thermal-magnetic circuit breaker rated for 15 amps at 120/240 volts with a 22,000-amp interrupting capacity (22kAIC). It provides overcurrent and short-circuit protection in residential and light commercial load centers. The THHQL series uses a plug-on mounting design for fast, tool-free installation into compatible panelboards. Licensed electricians install this breaker during panel builds, service upgrades, and branch circuit additions. The 22kAIC rating meets common fault-current requirements for residential service entrances.
The THHQL2115 is suited for residential and light commercial electrical distribution panels. It protects 240-volt branch circuits such as dryer outlets, HVAC disconnect feeds, water heaters, and similar double-pole loads. The plug-on design fits standard residential load centers that accept THHQL-series breakers. This breaker handles the full 120/240-volt single-phase split system common throughout North American residential wiring.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation 2-pole plug-on circuit breaker for residential and light commercial load centers that accept THHQL-series breakers.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the panel at the utility disconnect and verify the absence of voltage with a meter before handling any conductors or inserting the breaker. Confirm the load center is rated to accept THHQL-series plug-on breakers before installation. Never exceed the breaker amp rating when sizing branch circuit conductors.
