The ABB thhqb2120 is a 2-pole, 20-amp thermal-magnetic bolt-on miniature circuit breaker from the Q-Line series, rated for 120/240 Vac systems with a 22 KAIC interrupting rating. It is designed for residential and commercial electrical distribution panels, specifically load centers and lighting panels that require bolt-on bus connections. The breaker uses a non-interchangeable trip style with fixed long-time and fixed instantaneous trip functions (LI configuration). Quick-make/quick-break mechanism and built-in trip indication make it a reliable overcurrent protection device for licensed electricians working on branch-circuit and feeder applications.
The thhqb2120 fits residential and light commercial load centers and lighting panels where bolt-on style breakers are required. It carries an HACR special marking, making it suitable for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment circuits. The breaker is also rated for reverse feed applications, adding flexibility in panel configurations. It is a member of ABB Q-Line, a one-inch-per-pole compact breaker family available in 1, 2, and 3-pole configurations, and can be ordered with auxiliary contact and shunt trip accessories for specialized control needs.
Designed as a bolt-on replacement for Q-Line and TEY/Q-Line (Bolt-On) product line load centers and lighting panels requiring a 2-pole, 20-amp, 120/240 Vac breaker with 22 KAIC interrupting capacity.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements and applicable local codes. De-energize the panel and verify absence of voltage before handling any breaker or bus connection. Confirm the panel bus is compatible with bolt-on style breakers before installation. Do not install in a plug-in style panel without verifying bus compatibility.
