The ABB tgn3323 is a general duty, non-fusible safety switch rated for 100 amps at 240 volts AC. Built for the TGN series, it provides a reliable means of disconnecting electrical loads in commercial and light industrial installations. The switch features 3 poles and carries a short circuit current rating of 100 kA, making it suitable for service entrance and feeder disconnect applications. Housed in a NEMA 1 steel enclosure with a handle actuator, it is designed for indoor surface mounting. Licensed electricians install this switch as part of motor disconnect or branch circuit isolation work in compliance with NEC requirements.
The tgn3323 is suited for single- or three-phase systems operating at 50 or 60 Hz. It supports motor loads up to 15 hp with standard fuse sizing and up to 30 hp with time delay fusing, though the switch itself is non-fusible. Typical applications include disconnect service for HVAC equipment, compressors, pumps, and other motor-driven loads in light commercial or industrial settings where a NEMA 1 indoor enclosure is appropriate.
Designed as an OEM-style general duty safety switch for indoor electrical disconnect applications requiring a non-fusible, 3-pole, 240 VAC disconnect in a NEMA 1 surface-mount enclosure.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 430 for motor disconnects or Article 404 for general switch installations. De-energize the upstream circuit and verify absence of voltage before wiring. Mount securely to a flat surface using the enclosure's integral mounting provisions. Do not exceed the conductor temperature ratings marked on the terminal lugs.
