The ABB TG4324 is a 200-amp, 3-pole, 4-wire general duty fusible safety switch rated for 240 volts. It provides a visible means of disconnecting power to motors, HVAC equipment, and other electrical loads in residential and light commercial installations. The NEMA 1 enclosure is suited for indoor, dry locations. Licensed electricians install this switch as a service entrance disconnect, equipment disconnect, or branch circuit isolation point where fused overcurrent protection and a lockable off position are required by code.
This switch is designed for general duty residential and light commercial applications. Typical uses include disconnecting power to rooftop HVAC units, air handlers, compressors, and similar equipment. The 4-wire configuration accommodates three hot conductors plus a neutral, making it appropriate for 240-volt single-phase or three-phase loads depending on system configuration. The NEMA 1 enclosure is rated for indoor use in clean, dry environments such as mechanical rooms, utility spaces, and equipment closets.
Designed as a general duty fusible safety switch for residential and light commercial electrical disconnect applications where a 200-amp, 3-pole, 240-volt NEMA 1 disconnect is specified.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the upstream circuit and verify absence of voltage with a meter before opening the enclosure or making any connections. Do not exceed the switch ampere or voltage rating when selecting fuses. Ensure the enclosure is mounted in a dry, indoor location consistent with the NEMA 1 rating.
