The ABB sgla26at0400 is a molded case circuit breaker from the Spectra RMS Standard Series, rated for 250 amps and up to 600 volts AC. It features a 2-pole configuration housed in an SG600 frame with an interchangeable trip unit, making it adaptable for a range of overcurrent protection applications. Interrupt ratings are 65 kA and 100 kA depending on system configuration, providing robust fault current protection. Licensed electricians install this breaker in commercial and industrial panelboards and switchboards where reliable branch or feeder circuit protection is required.
This breaker is suited for commercial and light industrial electrical distribution systems operating at 120, 240, 277, 480, or 600 volts AC. The interchangeable trip unit allows field adjustment of trip settings without replacing the entire breaker frame, a common requirement in systems where load profiles change over time. It is typically installed in main distribution panels, motor control centers, or feeder applications where 2-pole overcurrent protection is needed at the 250-amp level.
Designed for use in electrical distribution equipment compatible with the ABB SG600 frame series. Confirm panelboard or switchboard frame acceptance before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the panelboard or switchboard completely and verify absence of voltage with a calibrated meter before handling. The interchangeable trip unit should be set and secured before energizing the circuit. Do not exceed the breaker interrupt rating for the system available fault current.
