The ABB SC100A is a 1-gang low-voltage mounting bracket designed for use in residential and light commercial electrical installations. This bracket provides a secure, code-compliant mounting surface for low-voltage devices such as data, communication, and audiovisual components. It is installed directly to wall studs or framing during rough-in, allowing low-voltage cabling and device plates to be seated correctly before drywall finishing. Electricians and low-voltage technicians working on structured wiring, home automation, or network installations will find this bracket a standard part of the rough-in process.
This bracket is suited for new construction and retrofit applications where a single-gang opening is required for low-voltage device mounting. It is commonly used in residential wiring projects as well as light commercial buildouts wherever data, telephone, coaxial, or audiovisual connections are terminated at the wall. The bracket supports standard 1-gang low-voltage wall plates and keystones used across a wide range of structured wiring systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard rough-in bracket for 1-gang low-voltage wall plate and keystone installations in residential and light commercial construction.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or low-voltage technicians during the rough-in phase, prior to drywall hanging. Secure the bracket to wall framing using appropriate fasteners before any finishing work begins. All low-voltage wiring should be installed in accordance with NEC Article 800 and applicable local codes. No line-voltage power source is required for bracket installation itself, but verify all adjacent circuits are de-energized before working in the same stud bay.
