The ABB rb14-250f is a nylon-insulated female disconnect terminal designed for fast, reliable electrical connections in 16 to 14 AWG wire ranges. The terminal features a 0.250 by 0.032 inch tab size and an overall length of 0.91 inches with a width of 0.29 inches. The maximum insulation diameter accepted is 0.162 inches. Constructed from brass with a tin-plated finish, these disconnects are color-coded blue for quick wire-gauge identification during installation. Electricians and panel technicians use these terminals for branch circuit wiring, control panels, and appliance harness work where a secure, removable female disconnect is required.
These female disconnects are suited for residential and light commercial electrical work, automotive wiring, and industrial control panel assembly where 16 to 14 AWG conductors are terminated. The nylon insulation sleeve provides mechanical protection and helps prevent accidental contact with adjacent conductors. They are sold in a 100-piece pack, making them practical for service vans and shop stock. The Sta-Kon product line is recognized for consistent crimp performance across high-volume termination tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and general-use female disconnect terminal compatible with standard 0.250 inch male quick-disconnect tab connectors used in residential, commercial, and light industrial wiring applications with 16 to 14 AWG copper conductors.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or removing any disconnect terminal. Use a calibrated ratchet crimp tool rated for insulated terminals in the 16 to 14 AWG range to ensure a secure, gas-tight crimp. Do not solder over a crimped connection, as this can create a stress point and degrade long-term reliability.
