The ABB pam2015 is a P-Series main circuit breaker rated at 150 amps for use in single-phase residential and light commercial load centers. Operating at 120/240 VAC with a single-pole configuration, it provides overcurrent protection at the service entrance of a panelboard. The unit supports 20 spaces and up to 40 maximum single-pole circuits, giving installers flexibility in circuit layout. The NEMA 1 enclosure rating makes it suitable for indoor, dry-location installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers for this type of service equipment.
The pam2015 is designed for use in indoor load center applications where a dedicated main disconnect and overcurrent device are required at the point of service entry. It is built for residential new construction, residential service upgrades, and light commercial electrical distribution panels. The 20-space, 40-circuit capacity accommodates standard residential load requirements. The NEMA 1 enclosure is appropriate for utility rooms, mechanical spaces, and other protected indoor locations that do not expose the panel to moisture or physical hazard.
Designed as an OEM-style main circuit breaker for use with ABB P-Series load centers requiring a 150-amp main breaker in a 20-space, 40-circuit NEMA 1 enclosure configuration.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the utility service and verify the absence of voltage before beginning any work on the load center or main breaker. Do not install this device in wet or outdoor locations, as the NEMA 1 enclosure is not rated for moisture exposure. Verify that the service conductor size and termination method match the 150-amp rating and the wiring configuration of the panel.
