The ABB NC301 is a 3/8 inch duplex clamp-type connector designed for securing non-metallic sheathed cable at enclosure entry points. It features a two-screw clamping mechanism that grips the cable jacket firmly, preventing pull-out and maintaining a secure, code-compliant termination. This connector is used in residential and light commercial electrical work where NM cable enters boxes, panels, or junction enclosures. Licensed electricians install this fitting as part of rough-in wiring on branch circuits throughout new construction and retrofit projects. The pack quantity of 1000 units makes it well suited for production electrical contractors running large volumes of NM cable.
This connector is appropriate for residential branch-circuit wiring applications where non-metallic sheathed cable must transition into a metallic or non-metallic enclosure. The duplex clamp design secures the cable without damaging the jacket, and the two-screw configuration allows for consistent tension across the cable body. It is commonly installed in wall boxes, load centers, and junction boxes during rough-in phases of residential construction or remodel work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-production connector for use with 3/8 inch knock-out openings in residential and light commercial electrical enclosures accepting non-metallic sheathed cable connectors.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC requirements for NM cable termination and enclosure entry. De-energize all circuits at the panel before working in any electrical enclosure. Insert the connector body through the knock-out opening, seat the locknut firmly by hand, and tighten the two clamping screws to secure the cable jacket without crushing it. Do not over-torque the clamping screws or use this connector with cable types for which it is not rated.
