The ABB ATDR25 is a time delay fuse rated at 25 amps and 600 volts AC, designed for overcurrent protection in electrical distribution systems. Time delay fuses tolerate brief inrush currents common during motor startup and transformer energization without nuisance tripping, while still clearing sustained fault conditions quickly. Licensed electricians install this class of fuse in disconnect switches, motor branch circuits, and control panels where selective coordination between upstream and downstream protective devices is required.
The ATDR25 is suited for residential, light commercial, and industrial applications where a 25-amp, 600-volt AC time delay fuse is specified. Typical installations include motor starters, HVAC equipment disconnects, and industrial control panels operating on standard single-phase or three-phase 600-volt-class distribution systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement time delay fuse for use in standard fusible disconnect switches and control panels rated for 600-volt AC service at 25 amps.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing any fuse. Use an appropriately rated fuse puller when servicing fuses in live-front equipment. Verify that the replacement fuse amperage and voltage ratings match the circuit requirements before restoring power.
